Rodeo Queen

My name is Lila Shepler, and I am honored to serve as the 2026–2027 Miss Michigan High School Rodeo Queen alongside Princess Hadly Ryan. 

I am 15 years old and have been blessed to grow up in McBain, Michigan. Rodeo has been a huge part of my life and has taught me the importance of faith, hard work, integrity, perseverance, and respect. Through rodeo, I have learned to set goals, overcome challenges, and always give my best both in and out of the arena. 

I compete in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and breakaway roping. I am fortunate to share this journey with two incredible horses who are much more than competition partners. Captain Courage MG, my barrel and pole horse, and Its a Smoke Show, my goat tying and breakaway horse, have taught me patience, trust, and perseverance. The bond we share and the miles we've traveled together have made some of my favorite rodeo memories, and I am grateful for every run, every lesson, and every opportunity we have together. 

As Miss Michigan High School Rodeo Queen, I have the privilege of representing the talented athletes of the Michigan High School Rodeo Association across our state and at the National High School Rodeo Queen Contest. Together, Hadly and I look forward to serving as ambassadors for rodeo, agriculture, and the western way of life while encouraging young people to pursue their dreams and stay true to their values. 

We would like to thank our families, friends, sponsors, and supporters who have encouraged us throughout this journey. Their support has helped make this opportunity possible, and we are excited to represent Michigan with thankful hearts during the year ahead.
